August Word Riot Submission Stats
Here are Word Riot’s submission stats for August, courtesy of Submishmash. The ones marked “In Progress” were earlier versions of stories we accepted. We have authors resend the edited version (maybe two or three versions, depending) as a new submission, so there’s some duplication in the numbers.

I really want to thank you for pulling back the veil on what the submissions process looks like from a stats perspective. I’ve never gotten a glimpse like this before and it’s fascinating. I don’t know if 420 subs in a month is a high, medium or low water mark for your team and it would be interesting to see your trend over a longer period of time.
It takes guts to share this kind of information so openly. Again, thanks.
